Ars Pristina is a group of singers, most of whom have graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London within the last three years, and who during that time sang with the Royal Holloway Chapel Choir and Schola Cantorum. The aim of the choir is to perform as wide a repertoire as possible encompassing music from the Renaissance period through to modern arrangements. Ars Pristina has recently performed as part of Festivals in Folkestone and Windsor. The Choir not only performs a regular series of concerts each year, but is also available to sing at weddings and private functions.
The Choir's director, Daniel Watts is currently studying for a Masters Degree in Music at Royal Holloway, University of London. Having been a chorister at St. Paul's Cathedral London, Daniel was appointed a Choral Scholar at Royal Holloway. Most recently he has directed the University's Chamber Choir and Choral Society, as well as occasionally conducting the Egham & District Choral Society and Royal Holloway Symphony and String Orchestras.
